In order to fly on your own at a CQF site, you will need to have a membership with the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics). AMA Membership provides many benefits, not the least of which is insurance for yourself as well as the property owner. This is simple and inexpensive; we have the forms available at the field. Annual membership for those 19 and under is free. A Park Pilot membership is $30/year, and covers all aircraft allowed at CQF fields. (A full membership, at $58, allows flying larger/faster planes, and provides several additional benefits along with increased insurance.) A $20, 3-month trial membership is also an option.
